1st leg of Camino - fly to Paris

We  Left SeaTac International Airport on Sept 1, 2015 - destination Paris, France

Our hotel was near Notre Dame

Pic of Notre Dame from the Seine River

We enjoyed several of the Cafes in Paris, Enjoyed the Irish Coffee....

Took the
Boat tour on the
Seine River which is next to Notre Dame Cathedral, The Louvre, Eiffel Tower and some very lovely buildings and bridges.

The people in Paris
were very friendl.y - we stayed at  Hotel des Arenes in the Latin Quarter (approx. 8 blocks from Note Dame Cathedral.)  The Frenchman at the front desk was charming and a "true Frenchman". Unfortunately, I missed my opportunity to get his photo, as I waited until the last day to ask for his photo, and he was not working.  (We also stayed here when we returned to Paris before flying to Seattle on Nov 1st).

We enjoyed our walks along the Seine River

The Highlight, for me was the Cathedral -
we attended 8 AM Mass.

We listened to several genre of music.  Sympathy, jazz, modern.

The grounds around The Louvre were beautiful - we choose not to go through the museum; and to enjoy the city instead.

Next Blog -- Sept 5th Fly Biarritz France,  then Taxi to St. Jean Pied de Port, France.

Here is a map of all the Camino Routes in Spain - I met one man, Charlie who started his Camino in Lourdes France (he walked around 1000 miles).
